It's a good thing we love our fluffy butts because they love to show them. Here are some more pics I took this morning.

I actually got 5 out of my 6 EE butts in one pic.

Morning snack: 3 1/2 pounds of fodder sprinkled with a cup of scratch for the cold.


I honestly thought the egg was coming from this girl. She has the most red in her comb among my EEs.

I hope these ladies don't hold out on me. It's getting pretty cold.

I have Silver Leghorns that look just like them. I also have GLW's.

Hubs & I went up to the coop this morning, all the girls were inside and there was all kinds of clucking and "egg" singing going on. No egg though. The nestboxes are open and ready. I looked all around but nothing was amiss (like a snake or rodent) and no one was acting afraid. Just lots of noise! The girl doing the singing was one of the BOs but she doesn't look ready to lay (pink comb/wattle), the BJG and one of the BSL do. Does everyone get in the act?

They are 17 weeks.
