Eggs soon?

Not sure how to properly word this, but anyhow...today was the first time i noticed my rooster mounting one of the hens. Does that mean the hen is close to laying?

If the girls are cooperating with the mating attempt, with any luck you should usually have eggs within a week or two.... but if the boys are mostly just chasing / harassing and grabbing the girls it could be quite awhile longer, some roos will start trying quite a while before the girls are ready. If the girls are tame, they will often squat for you also when you they are getting close.
