I have some leftover mash from making elderberry syrup, and am wondering about drying it out and mixing into my girls feed. I've read that the berries are good for them (but not stems and leaves).
To make the syrup, a cup of dried berries was pressure cooked aong with a little but of cloves, cinnamon, and ginger, then squeezed out. The solids that are left is what i'm wondering about.
