Empordanesa & Penedesenca - Who has them?

I managed to hatch 2 wheaten (a pair) and 1 partridge (pullet) from my shipped eggs. I still would REALLY like to get more Penes! I LOVE them! I have over 30 chickens now, several different breeds, and they are my absolute favorites! But I actually like my wheatens more than the partridge. Several hatcheries have partridge penes now, but I would really like to get some more good quality wheatens. The wheatens I have are nicely colored and good body types, nice carnation combs, but they have red earlobes!!! Does anyone know where I can get some good wheaten Penes?

Here's a pic of my wheaten cockerel. Dh named him Joss (Joss Wheaten, get it?

I just hatched 4 out of 12 eggs. Crele's . 3 are hens and one is a rooster. I like you can tell what they are once they hatch. girls darker brown and boys a little greyer. came from medium terra cotta eggs with dark speckles. I also am looking forward to getting more hatching eggs of the crele's

Hi all

Empordanesa is a breed of my home (Empordà is like a county on Catalonia, near french border on north Spain). I've some friends that have this breed :)

Here is ·L'Empordà":

http://maps.google.es/maps?q=empord...79&sspn=9.316726,14.128418&hq=emporda&t=m&z=9

This breed has been documented since 1920 (but we think is older than that),

Here is the wesite of the oficial breeders club (in spanish)

http://www.empordanesa.org/espanol/index.html

And some information with pictures of UAB (university of Barcelona) (in catalan), who works on it

http://www.rac.uab.es/AUS/EMPORDANESAcas.htm

There are four varietys: white and blond, red, blond and "aperdiuada" (can't translate this, sorry, means like "partridge coulored")

Rossa variety have 3 kinds: white tail, black tail and blue tail (my favourite)

Hope this help.

A nice review withs pics to download:
