Feeding Kale for Winter greens

Has anyone tried growing winter kale for feeding during cold weather? Does it keep the yolks dark yellow?

I grow collards, very much like kale, and the hens love it. It does increase the yolk color. Just don't overdo the amount you offer.

I had a lot of kale last year, so I dried it in my dehydrator. I crumbled over my chicken's treats & they loved it. I'm going to plant even more for my winter garden

Mine don't seem to like kale. Even chopped they seem to prefer softer leafy greens...they aren't spolied or anything I swear!

Mmmhmm. Sure, they're not spoiled, LOL. Mine expect mr to chop all their greens up, too!

If you want orange yolks, the darker the greens, the better. Free ranging too.
