i have a bumper crop of lima beans...they are starting to dry out in the shell on the stem. i wanted to know if it is safe to dry them, grind/mash them and add to there feed? i kno that soybeans need to be roasted and not fed raw because certain chemicals will kill them.... do limas need to be roasted as well or no or can they be fed raw?

let me know...anyone...thanx!

We don't feed dry, we cook them first. Probably because it's part of our leftovers.

I would soak, cook, and feed. I think the issue with soy is a protein in them needs to cook to be digestible. Can't rember the details.

You could always save them for seed if they aren't a hybrid. That's what I a doing here. We have a bumper crop of soy and limas.
