Hi there everyone! This is going to just be a place where I post my chickens. I really wanted a place to just dump photos / videos when I take them, so here we go! Let's start with my Australorp, who doesn't QUITE know how to express how happy sunbathing makes her appropriately

Here are my silkies! Enjoying a fall day. Not sure if either of them are hens - we think they're both cockerels. Their names are Bonnie and Clyde, partners in crime and cuteness.

She's actually a California White, which is a hybrid of a California Grey x (white) Leghorn. She is a favorite of mine, well and truly. So much personality - she's the only one who will come right up to a camera and stick her face in the lens, such a busybody. She's a great forager and seems to have good instincts for free ranging, which we like.

And she's an excellent layer! Ever since she started, we've been getting one white egg a day without fail. She's never taken a break - they might not be huge, but they're consistent and delicious!

She's one of the few who will let me pick her up and carry her around willingly. In exchange for a few love nips, that is. But she's never pecked me for real, even taking food from my hands.
