First quilt block swap 2016

I have a Pfaff 18.8 and frame just bought mine last fall and still playing with it. Now as for the embroidery machine got that one last summer to do a custom memory quilt good thing hubby didn't see the bill for that one

I have just bought me a long arm and have not been playing with it, getting tops ready, but I am having trouble setting the stitch, the video I have watched isn't really clear, oh well I will figure it out and I so want an embroidery machine, haven't decided on which one. oh my long arm is a HQ 16 quilter, not the sweet 16
Hopefully my choices are okay. I have 3 different. I have about 14 or 16 blocks done but now I have to motivate again after stopping to quilt a table runner for someone. Expecting a foot or so of snow, so it seems it would be a great time to get back to it.

beautiful, we all worry too much about colors I have found, they all go together like the grey in the back ground too, very nice colors
Me too! LOL I have both the large and smaller ruler but I do not think I have the book. I figured I could wing it based on the video. So are we all going to Georgia or is everyone coming to California? Oh who was the one that won the lottery and is buying tickets?

I didn't win but if I did I think a quilting cruise would be in order, and we all get to buy what we play with on the cruise, now that is dreaming lol course with millions I'm sure that would just be a drop in the bucket, we could send home post cards saying wish you were here lol, that is mean.
I purchased the book and the large ruler. Hey! I'm up for either place! Some where warm! But it wasn't me that won the lottery!

We are to get 4-6" of snow today! BBRRR! Although it is going to warm up to a balmy 26 here today!!

Those about 40-50 miles south of us, are to get up to 10" or more, so it could be worse!
I want to come to your road to California!!! Looks like such fun! I'm getting cabin fever for something interesting and fun to do! Our wedding anniversary is coming in a couple of weeks. Hmm! wonder if I can talk DH into a trip somewhere warm, and maybe something like your event? Does anyone know of a fun place, (warm

) to go?
Anna6~are you taking any of the classes? They look so interesting and fun!
wow that much snow, where are you again? we lost power last night due to trees down from the wind, but I was snuggled warm so we were ok course when you have a 110 pound dog on top of you who could be cold. lol I was going to go to the quilt show in Atlanta next month but think I need to stay away, I would spend too much money.

and to our group, maybe you could join in on a swap in the future or you can just hang out, we love company

Has anyone done any of the Farm Girl vintage quilts or blocks by Lori Holt Bee in my Bonnet? Here is my pintrest link of pictures I collected. Not all are from the Farm Girl Vintage links as some I put in there for colors and other ideas I might use in the Farm Girl Vintage quilt. I will actually be helping my DD make the quilt. We plan to do the 12 inch blocks.

At this point we are trying to buy a back ground fabric as the one we chose fell through. How is it to piece with Kona solids and regular quilting fabric? I have heard the kona is a bit thick and the limited experience I had seems to confirm that. I am considering Kona Ash but originally my DD wanted a print. It is just hard to find a large enough piece of nice tone on tone. By the time it hits the sales rack the piece is too small. I am all for scrappy but DD wants it all the same. I will post when and if something gets made.

WAIT
i just discovered this...
and i sew, and and always trying to swap for hatching eggs.
I'm going to spend some time looking through the archives, I'm excited!
kate
currently 5 silkie chicks and 7 silver appenzeller spitzhauben chicks, two sebastopol eggs in the bator!
and a fabric stash that far outweighs the finished products

I just bought Bella solid grey. Lets hope that will ship. Supposedly Bella fabric is more supple.
