Lots of information on this forum with some great people! They have been super to us so far!!!

Hello all. New to thread and to chickens. We got 9 chicks the first week of April. 2 Easter Eggers, 2 Golden Laced Wyandotte, 2 Production Reds, and three straight run bantams (2 of which turned out to be males). I've just finished the coop and run and they'll go out this weekend. We are very excited. Lol.

Our coop has been done for two weeks trying to finish run maybe today!!! Fingers crossed

I would have never thought having chicks would be so much fun. The Orpingtons are 8 weeks old and the Silkies are 4 weeks old, and man are they all hilarious. The Orpingtons are almost too spoiled, I think. The Silkies aren't keen on being handled, but they're so much fun to watch....so feisty.

So here is a one week update!!!

They are getting wing feathers, and down is flying all over when they flap about.
