Glad she's going to be okay Maye!!! Are you going to Dunnellon swap tomorrow?Hi all,
Slowly getting the predator problem under control here. Most of the neighbors have banded together to get rid of them. One is baiting them by her barn and has SSS 5 of them so far. I got one and the brand new neighbor with alpacas has hunted every night. She got 3. The neighbor right behind me got 1. So so far that I know of 10 down and a lot more to go.....
I know I owe PM's to a lot of peeps on here. I will get to them, but my internet stinks and is hit and miss right now.
On another note, I never thought I would be glad to have sugar sand. But today my farrier was here and my ACDs are always out side more than in. My old girl was under his truck and didn't hear him start up. I didn't see her til too late, yelled for him to stop. He stopped part way on her, then backed up. She ran out 3 legged lame. I grabbed her and laid her down, let her and me calm down. After about 10 minutes she just walks off with a slight limp. Then she walks to the back porch and runs up the steps. She is a little sore, but the vet thinks she is going to be ok. She is my old ACD that cannot go under antheisia. So she is on a mild anti-inflammatory for a few days. So she won't over do it.
She scared about 10 years off of Bill(farrier) and my lives. Lesson learned: Lock old going deaf dog in house.

Sounds like a lot of fun. Wish I could have made it, but I'll try to be at the next swap, I have a group of Polish youngsters that are ready for their own homesWell had fun at the Dunnellin swap but came home with 3 more than expected!
Mary picked up a Marans girl just under a year old, I got my 2nd chicken a blue splash silkie to breed with Dweezle my sizzle. With luck this girl and Dweezles offspring will have the white he has on his feet corrected!
Then my grandaughter asked to borrow $2, OK no problem, well then she got a little sizzle chick,
What was a surprise is when I went to get the silkie girl the oldest Autumn had to show off her sizzle, then as I was about to pay for my silkie a little black one walked out of the cage and rite up to Robert my grandson, Vickie at sunshine silkies told him it was his and I about fell over, Next the youngest Joyce said "I want one too" so vickie gives her a blue splash "the other one I was looking at.
I could not belive it when she gave the grand kids each a silkie! now all three have their own chickens here! Kind of ironic as the other three grandkids also have chickens here so whats a few more LOL!
It was great meeting a few new people and seeing a couple familiar faces and the kids had a BLAST!
