Okay so today I discovered that the abandoned for days chicken nest had a chick hatch, Pretty cool, a big fat cochin chick. While I was holding him my brother brought me an egg saying there were fire ants in it and the chick was still alive. I had to perform an emergency hatch and saw that there were tons of fly eggs laid all over the little guys body. I got off as many as I could while getting him hatched. So he is a bit swollen on the bottom where he was attached to the egg so I am letting that heal for a bit but my question is this, there are still some eggs on him, not in clumps any more but still scattered. I am going to remove them but if I miss any will they still hatch? Is there anything I can put on him to ensure that they don't? Thank you all for the help!
