That is a beautiful garden!
I just net my plants, the biggest issue here isn't them eating it is them digging stuff up.
They don't seem to like scratching on the netting.

Make a chicken garden... lol. 3 foot fencing is just keeping your birds a hop away from your veggies, but 3 foot fencing with bird netting overtop should keep them off... you just have to rescue the ones that jump until they figure out they can’t

That is a beautiful garden..and to be honest, I’m not sure I’d want chickens in it or on the lovely stone...my birds came to me with clipped wings...they obviously don’t fly...but my younger bunch will not be clipped and I plan to go the route of a more heavy duty fence, despite not being the most beautiful

It seems silly but in all the years I have had mine they never jumped a 3 foot garden fence.

Funny, they eat every tomato that grows through or over the fence but they have never breached the perimeter to get at them.

My 50x60' veg garden is surrounded by a 4' tall welded wire fence. It's held up by steel posts. The ladies stay out ... unless I leave the gate open!
Oh, and I bought netting to add to the top of the fence, but will use it to cover my blueberry bushes!

Personally, i use 3' high chicken wire with bamboo steaks woven through it to create a barrier.

This might work good as the 'floppy' top edge gives them no stable place to land before going over.

I tried the three ft. high chicken wire with the floppy top, and my birds laughed, and flew over it to the garden.

Gorgeous garden. It's evident that you are into the aesthetics of how it will all look. I'd recommend a four foot fence over three feet. Unless they are very light breeds, usually that will keep them in. There are a variety of ways to make the fence more attractive and blend with your style like those seen here:
