Freezing water

Okay...I know it is a bit early to be worrying about this but I have given it lots of consideration. Before we complete our new housing..wanting some tips for winter time. Wondering about tips to keep water from freezing so quickly in bad weather. Well, it will freeze period! Just wondering. Thanks!

Here is a simple way to keep the water unfrozen in winter..

Just use Gallon mike jugs and cut a hole in the side. Check morning and evening and pop the ice out and refill.I have used them for years many time 100% lay in freezing weather. I would never use water heaters.
