Okay, I live in Ma. Its been below zero the past week and a half (aside from today& yesterday) we got 16inches of snow and then a freeze... Wile doing my daily check on the "chickies" i noticed that the one and only dwarf bird that is owned here (RUDY THE ROOSTER) had frostbite on his comb. Just the tips were black so i didnt bother as there was nothing i could jave done for him it was so minor.
This morning i took him aside and got a good look at what's going ob with him
"Granted he is special needs rooster anyways, he does well with his bottom beak only which was snapped off in a chicken fight of some sort, he struggles to breathe eat and preen himself but i still thought he deserved to live.
Can someone give me some ideas as to what i should do for him?
I will post pictures of the comb that now looks like frostbite got worse after the first day i saw it. Also he has this pimple looking thing in his tail. Top of back near the end of his tail, he keeps pocking his feathers around it. I have no idea what it is.. i think he is sick.. someone please give me some input. I am heartbroken at his deteriorating condition in just 3 days..
