That's very sad. I hope you can find their nest and catch them for yourself! I bet they will be much happier

So today for the first time I let funkey free range. He found an 3in long cricket

and was just a singin along for three to four minutes.

the others were on the other side of the fence, watching all the while.

I think chickens are funney, and the stuff that we do with them is funney. I would like to hear your stories that is why I decided to start this thread.

So heres one of my stories. I was on the couch one day with my roo and was going to paint my nails... my roo was just standing there sooo nicley so he kept still and his nails got painted

. His name is SUGIE, he has HOT PINK nails, and blue ears that look like EAR-RINGS.

Ok So it was a good day in the chicken woorld

So for the first time I got 3 eggs (I have 3 hens) I go out there and give them some yogurt

Funkey gets so into it before I knew it he had it up and down his neck including his head and eyes

so I poor water on him carefulley to get it off. I take away the yogurt

I work around inthe pen and then I relize that they are dust batheing

So my white silkies lay down in it and roll

while Funkey digs up dirt all over him and them.

Singing all the while

Miss Queen of the dust bath lays down as close to funkeys dirt slinging feet as she can get.

Funkey digs like an DOG

I swear it looks like they are trying to dig under the fence.

LOL!!!

We had a hawk fly over our coop for a while, my leghorn roo kept jumping at it for some reason. I went out and yelled at the hawk to go away, and my roo stopped jumping and came running over to hide under me...

my only answer as to why he did that: I mean safety???

I don't get it.... he thinks I'm the bigger roo, and yet he runs to hide under me... ????
