Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

and thus the reason why losing the last lot of imported chicks will have such an impact on my program.

Some of the breeds I wont even be able to get till April 2015

Lets hope I can get a moderate hatch in September. The breeds I am trying to take are all for developing sex links. I have a great potential market for them. I just need birds....
If you can find birds, it may be to your advantage to do a day trip north and towards the cooler
mountain areas for those eggs. Maybe you can find something area Truckee or the Lake Tahoe
areas where it may be cooler by now.

I just have to find them but they would really have to be from up high.

Sacramento is tracking 5F hotter than Lancaster CA. In Sac on the 12th they are saying it will be 104!!!

Yes....the valleys can hotter than Hades in the summer. That is why I
suggest higher up and north.......even Redding would be cooler but
higher in the mountains would be even better. Hopefully you can find
some eggs that suit your needs soon.

We found the reason that there were no more sardines eaten. Well two reasons actually.
the offending felines took a nap?

i can't really blame the cats

most people in the province only feed their cats a few scraps

so skinny poorly fed cats are the norm

looks like a couple there are no longer looking for an extra food source

so true piglett

even domestic cats are pretty much feral. their breeding is unchecked but life expectancy is low

vet clinics and rescues dont exist
