What would happen? With a Plymouth Rock all white hen? Her chicks would look like? We have three black babies....and one penciled roo..... I am feeling very helpless not inderstanding the gnetics of the all white . We have a hatch of 16 chicks, five weeks old from our golden laced Cochin Rooster over four of our hens.
Hens are: white Plymouth Rock, Easter egger, Blue Orpington And an Golden laced Wyandotte. The Wyandotte looks just like the roo did, (he died accidentally) .....we have three Easter edgers easy to pick out, seven brown coloring, probably from the Wyandotte, three all black?? And the one white pencil/plus grey colors..................what do u think?

I wonder if your black chicks are from the blue orpington and none of them happened to get the blue gene? I assume the white in the plymouth rock is recessive so i'm not sure what would hide under there.
THANK you for replying! I forgot to say I DO have two all blue Orpington hybrid chicks out of this mix...(the year have feathered bootstrap like their Pappa, but that’s is the extent of what’s he gave them)....so, I was wondering that same thing you mentioned , except for those two that are perfectly the same as their Mamma the orpington hen. I just didn’t kno for sure I felt the white in Plymouth Rock Never comes through. Thanks!

THank u. Here are the girls and boys
