Those Jersey girls (when they grow up) should be able to handle themselves quite well out there. It couldn't hurt to spot check now and again for dens or holes snakes might take up. My recommendation is to set up trail cameras so you can see what you actually have at night.

Otherwise sounds like you're a step ahead of most folks wishing to free range (even me considering you've got two dogs.) I wish you luck with your flock!
