My wife's mini horse shares room in the building where my guineas are housed. Today I went in to change the water in the horse's heated bucket and was grossed out by seeing a bunch of mice floating in the bucket. (The horse only goes in occasionally.) It had only been a few days since I refilled the bucket but there were SIXTEEN dead mice in the bucket. They must have been climbing up the chain link fence and jumping into the water. these are the first that have done that. What a nasty mouse trap!
