I'm having fun watching them grow out. How old are yours now?

Since you see them every day I really never noticed the "ugly" stage. To me they went from baby chickens to little hawks, then back to chickens.

Do they look like hawks to anyone else or is it just me?

They definitely, definitely go through a stage where they look like hawks to me -- eagles, owls, hawks, depending on color.

That's funny. My DH recently commented how one of our pullets looked like a hawk.

I loved the teenage stage....awkward, leggy, curious, and very very sweet.

They are *so* sweet and curious. I'm not a big fan of pin feathers (the texture bugs me) but OMG they're lovely little birds.
