Have a female Muscovie, not sure of her age, but don't think she is old, that has a perpetually dirty vent area. She is happy, active and alert. Eats great and seems to be pooping. She never swims so she never gets cleaned off. Plus all my other ducks are laying and I don't think she is. She was for a bit, now she does not seem to be. BUt not completely sure. I have 7 hens and get 6 eggs daily. When she layed a few eggs earlier, they were streaked with blood. Just a tiny bit, but blood just the same. Kinda freaked me out. Do I need to take her to the vet? The closest vet is pretty far away and she does not travel well, so if I don't have to transport her, I really don't want to. Like I said, she is happy and personable, wanders around all day with the others in the flock, just that icky dirty vent, and of course she is white!!
Thanks for any advice that is offered. I have had ducks quite a long time, but never had this happen.
