Hello!
Yesterday Pancake, my 3 month old hen freaked out for a few seconds....squawking and flopping around then fell down on her side. She got up after a few seconds but seemed confused. I gave her some water and she drank a little then started drooling. We brought her inside and she walked in circles looking very uneasy and unsteady on her feet. She would come to my hand and lean on my had to hold herself up. Her right eye kept closing and she leaned to the right also. I would pick her up and cuddle her and she would fall asleep within seconds. I couldn't gt her to lay down so I held her. She slept for about three hours then woke up and started walking around. I brought her outside and when she tried to eat she was unsuccessful......like she couldn't peck hard enough to get the food. When she is walking around she seems normal (but less perky). Today I went out to see her and she was walking around and came right up to me. I picked her up and she fell asleep instantly. She does this ALL the time now. Like she wants to be held so she can just sleep. And when she sleeps it's like she is dead......her head drops and she goes limp....like she is exhausted. I almost think she would rather be held all day and sleep but then when you put her down she walks around like she is fine.
