15 week old “rare” breed from Hoovers hatchery. Got told it is a type of maran but not too sure. PLEASE HELP.

Are all the pics of the same bird?

It looks pretty close to a black copper marans, however I’ve never had any of this breed so I’m not entirely sure.

Yes! All the same bird. I was thinking that too but was told no because she didn’t have feathered feet.

Maybe it’s a hybrid?? It doesn’t seem like you’d get a mix from a hatchery, especially if they classified it as a rare breed…

Comb doesn't look right for a Marans and I think Marans have white legs and this bird seems to have yellow. IDK but Hoover's does have hybrids in their rare breeds.

It for certain has Maran in it. I believe there is a picture of a similar, but different chicken in there (smaller standard comb).

With the pea comb and the Maran golden hackles, I'd typically say an olive egger, but the legs don't match.

But, final guess is a cockerel (for certain) Maran pea-combed mutt.
