Just remember, ducks take a lot longer to hatch, so don't worry if they don't pop out like chickies do. What kind of ducks? I think Calls are very difficult to hatch. Often need help.

I'm sorry! You're hatching ducks, not chickens!!! 28 days is fine, fine then more time. I hatch Call Ducks and I had a few late ones and did have to hand hatch one myself.

Yes! I am getting a lot of activity out of one egg now! I am so hopeful still I git worried with such a high temp spike. I'd be happy to even just have 2 hatch! I was told these eggs were ancona mixes (don't know what mixed with though) haha

You can dampen it using a q tip and warm water, being careful not to get water in the bill. Or you can use an antibacterial ointment without anesthetic. It lasts longer. May sure humidity remains around 75%.
