I to bother everyone on this post but y'all have been the most helpful & wonderful ppl to a new chicken owner:
***I have an issue***
Their mean Fred, is now my Romeo
Due to circumstances out of the previous owners control they had to get rid of all their chickens
Fred was heading to his death. This bird was labled mean, untamed, would never be a pet bird.
I fell in love at 1st with him a few months ago (before the accident)
WELL NOW HE'S MY BIRD!!!!
Hate they had a misfortune but it worked out for Fred, whom I've named Romeo.
I want to let Romeo have the run of my entire fenced yard. He has a pen under the trampoline & my husband built him a house.
How do I make Romeo know this is his yard?
How long do I have to keep him in the pen before he can be set free?
Basically like a dog in a yard/ instead he's a chicken...
He isn't afraid of me & never even tried to spur me.
Honestly he isn't at all as they described him to being?
I love him!!!!
