In order to get sex-linkage we must mate a gold plumage cock to a silver plumage hen. The female chick will take after the sire and be the same ‘gold’ colour and the male chick will take after the dame and be ‘silver’.

Don't forget both parents have to be pure for their color, so the sons couldn't be used to continue the sexlinking

this i believe. i sure wouldnt be making greenfire farms rich buying their fad chickens. any heritage non hatchery chicken lays until they die. i had an asil lay and raise chicks at 16 years old. also had a few cubalaya hens over 10 years old still laying decent
