I have 3 hens and 3 nest boxes. Every day all 3 hens lay their eggs in the same nest box. The box they pick varies from day to day. Today my son snapped this shot of 2 hens crammed in one nest box. The third was waiting impatiently in line for the same nest box. Gotta love those strange chicken behaviors

I actually had 2 broody bantams try to incubate the same clutch of eggs, needless to say none of the 8 eggs they were sharing hatched. I believe they either got to hot or possibly chilled as sometimes there would be eggs between them. I tried to seperate the eggs and move one of the hens next door and she promptly went right back over to the original nest! I removed the nest box for about a month to break them of there broodiness and just recently put it back in there coop, I got my first egg yesterday since putting the nest box back in, I guess time will tell if they do it again.
