Here are some Silkie Breeders!

I have to recommend The Chicken Farm of Missouri for those of you in the Missouri area. Unfortunately (as of last fall) they didn't have their license to ship chicks, but believe me when I say that it is worth the drive to go visit this place. Owners are super friendly, the birds are free range and very well taken care of. My wife and I went there last fall to get chicks and ended up spending a couple hours talking with the owner and petting 2 of the peacocks.

Hey. I just found this thread and I agree, this is a great idea.
Im still new and learning how to navigate around all of the topics.
I live in Alpine, AL (Talladega co.)
I have 3 flocks of silkies but not a breeder.
I am working on breeding my own Blues, not for monetary purposes. I am fascinated with the genetics..
I purchased most of my flocks from Alabama Silkies.
I too, highly recommend them.
They have some FINE true blacks.
I'm still learning about silkies, after 3 years, I am way behind on what I should know.
I have a sweet little 3 y.o. Satin hen that I have put with my grey roo just to see what would hatch.
LoL, I got a nice little mix of it all...
