Went to the Boston show, was really hoping to get some more bantam RIR, the only ones that were there were from the same line. Maybe the Congress show?

Bantam Delawares being raised by a Large Fowl Wyandotte. These little chicks were first incubated under the hen in a nest box and then three days before hatch, the eggs were placed in an incubator and allowed to hatch. When one day old and able to eat and drink, they were placed back under their broody hen to bond in a wall cage. At one week, the family was moved to a floor pen.

Anyway...remember the music that goes with the wind-up toy "jack in the box"? Well that music should be playing when these little guys zip and pop out of their shells.... Bonnie Blue has 8 Delawares and a d'Anver.

Another hen has 9 with one d'Anver and the third hen has three.

Gotta love the balls of fuzz. Just about the size of a ball of lint, and almost as fast... (have you ever noticed how fast lint just magically appears?) That's a LOT of Delaware bantams.
