I do on one of my mares!Anyone ride bitless?
That would be a steal here. Houses with 1/4 an acre sell for like a million lol.Yeah but everything here is over $500,000 for 5-10 acres. And way out of where we want to live.
If your motivation for riding bitless is to avoid accidentally causing discomfort to your horse, I would avoid riding in a rope halter. The knots on a rope halter are designed to put pressure on sensitive areas of the horse's nose, cheeks and poll, to train him to lead and give to pressure. While training a horse to lead in a rope halter, it's easy to control how much pressure you put on him. But if you ride him in that and accidentally yank when he suddenly changes direction, you could hurt him way more than if you were just using a gentle snaffle bit.I’ve ridden bitless and it was nice. I felt a lot better knowing I wouldn’t accidentally yank at the horses mouth if something happened. So why not?
Should it be a rope halter or a nylon halter?
