ok, random question, and NO I don't plan on breeding my mare. How old is too old to breed? 15? 18? I recently stumbled across a 19 yr old pregnant mare, is that safe?

Nope. I still live with my dad. It’s a pretty big yard but not big enough for a horse. Our old house would have been perfect lol but they never would’ve let me anyway. And I can’t afford a horse anyway.

I don't think there's really a set age, and it depends more on the mare. I do know that mares over 15 are more likely to have fertility issues, but that doesn't necessarily mean all mares above 15 can't be bred. @Overo Mare probably knows more about this than me though lol
