How do you prep your pumpkin seeds for your chickens?

thanks for starting this usefull thread. ive kept the flesh & seeds from our pumpkins & will throw it into the run.
i didnt know the seeds can worm them? does it matter how many they eat? can they overdose on them?

I make fresh pumpkin pie so I just scoop out the seeds as they are and give them to the birds and then give them the cooked pumpkin shell when I've scooped out the flesh. There is never anything left!

On another note, the pumpkin patch nearby gives me the slightly spoiled pumpkins that they can't sell, and I get free pumpkin for the chickens!

There is no scientific proof that pumpkin seeds will deworm your chickens. I would not depend solely on pumpkin seeds. I would use a proven medical dewormer. But... give them those pumpkins anyways, they love them!!
