I was gonna buy a brinsea TLC Advance brooder for my new guinea keets! (and because i love brinsea) i went and saw the price... *Oh boy my heart skipped a bit* the damn brooder is more expensive than my Brinsea Ovation 28 EX... Screw this! Imma show you how i made my own automatic brooder!
Parts you need:

1: Temperature controller relay

Okay now that we got all the parts ready.. Lets assemble!

Step 1:
On top of the box glue the temperature controller or screw it in place..

Step 6: Add mesh wire around your heating element to protect your chicks (optional)

Step 7: Twist the fan and the heating element wires together.

Step 8:On the temperature controller there are these green wire screws place.. It contains 4 places KO, K1, 12v, GND

Attach your postive wire of your adapter and the postive wire of your fan and heater in the 12v screw

Step 8: attach the negative wire of your adapter to the GND screw and add a small length of wire and connect GND with K1

Step 9: attach the negative wire of your fan and heater to the KO screw..

Step 10: you're all done! Now its time to configure the temp controller

Step 11: buttons on the temp controller are
control, +positive, Negative

Step 11: Click the control button on the very left once and set the temperature using the two other buttons

Step 12: after you set the temperature hold the control button until a menu is shown.. Click on the first menu by pressing the control button and change it from C to H.

Step 13: Hooray! Now you got your own fancy brooder that you can put your baby chicks in! Complicated? But worth saving 500 bucks. Try me @BrinseaUS

Very nice! I can't really tell from your pictures how you made your brooder, but we never recommend our TLC brooders for birds like guinea keets. We make EcoGlow brooders for poultry, because the TLC brooders don't allow the birds to get away from the heat if necessary.
Oh.... I never thought of that.... Okay then im gonna order a ecoglow50 and hopefully try it out.. Thanks for the info..

I am going to build one and test it out this summer. Have you done any test and see if the temperature hold well?

I actually have put another thermometer in there and the temperature difference was on the controller (37.5) on the thermometer's (37.3)... Tho its pretty convenient.. It just needs a good fan.
