How to take care of baby rabbit

I want to get a rabbit, and wanted to know if y’all have any advice on caring for a 6 week old rabbit? I am getting him soon, so wanted to be ready before hand. How can I prepare? Is there specific things for different breeds? Thank you!

What breed? I'd highly, highly recommend against getting one that young. I think it's illegal to adopt out under 8 weeks. I know it is in my state, just don't remember if it's a blanket rule or a state by state

You can get them starting at six weeks in Ohio

It is not finished yet but I decided to keep it indoors when I get him. I added a lock on the door so my cat could not get in

How wide is the bar spacing? A little rabbit may be able to squeeze through and get loose.

I will also be adding hard wire cloth around the fence so he can not squeeze through

Be careful with the hardware cloth; it has very sharp edges. Not sure that's the best for a rabbit.

Outdoor because I have an indoor cat that would kill anything if he smelled it…

Was the rabbit litter raised indoor or outdoor?

Then as long as you have a secure, ventilated space for him that has shade and won't get drafts or wet, I think it should be good housing wise

A rabbit will jump right over that.
Can you hold off on getting a rabbit until you figure out safer housing?
