Nope that is fine. It can take 24 hrs from pip to zip. It will have no problem zipping around from where it is pipped.
Once you're in lockdown, don't open the incubator for any reason, is my understanding, or you lose humidity and your chicks can end up shrink-wrapped. We are doing our first hatch and went into lockdown three days ago, and this morning one chick had hatched. By ten am we had two more and now, at bedtime, we have six with one more pipped. We started with 24 eggs and halfway through discarded 14, so we only have ten left, but it looks like most are going to make it. So exciting! Try to be patient!Ok one just pipped but it pipped under the egg. Should I turn it over so pop is on top or should I leave it alone
