This is probably an easy one, even though these chicks are only 4 weeks old. These two buff orpingtons are supposed to be pullets,

but... What do you think?

Please help. This is a Cochin bantam frizzle. I don't even know how old it is. I was wondering if anyone can tell if it's a roo. Thank you !

Well, I already have my suspicions about this one, but I just want to see what you guys say (always good to hear different opinions from different people). It's a mixed breed that's about 11 weeks in the pictures:

The breeder said she was pretty much certain it was a pullet. (we got it when it was 4 weeks old)

View attachment 1035092 View attachment 1035093 View attachment 1035094 View attachment 1035095 These are red sex link but someone told me if they are not first generation then you can't tell gender by color. Are they all pullets or am I going to have some roosters? The person I bought them from got them from a hatchery. They are approximately 3 months old.
I think they're all pullets. I have one who is 7 1/2 weeks old and she looks exactly like these pretty girls!

Can you confirm this easter egger is a pullet? 18 weeks

Pullet

I have 3 black australorps suspecting 2 are males. Know for a fact 1 is since I heard one of them crow the other day. About 2-3 months old ThanksView attachment 1048616 View attachment 1048617 View attachment 1048610 View attachment 1048614

All three are cockerels

The first picture is 6 weeks. The other little picture is 8 weeks. We thought Agnes was a pullett, she acted like a brood mother to our baby chicks, but has gotten kind of mean. The other day she started crowing, but she also sings the egg song frequently (no eggs) Agnes is a Cochin and is 20 weeks old now. The other 2 pictures are recent in the last couple of weeks.

Could you take a picture of her/his saddle feathers?

Please can you help with these two

Too young, post again in a couple weeks

So you think it's a pullet? I am so nervous my son picked her but I'm so nervous...

Pullet

what do you think pullet or roo? Hatched April 15View attachment 1048954

Looks kinda like a cockerel, but a better pic of the comb would help.

Pullet or roo Hatched April 15View attachment 1048959

Not really sure, kinda looks like a roo (I'm not the best at silkie sexing though).

View attachment 1048964 is this a silkie? Roo or pullet. Hatched april 15View attachment 1048964

That is a silkie, a better pic of the comb would help me tell it's gender.

The one standing up is a roo

Hopefully these help! I have no idea how Orpingtons or 'Wyandottes' (thank you for letting me know that!) feather out. The Orp/Wyandotte are just a day younger than my mutt, as well.

The last time I raised chicks, their tail feathers gave it away, and it looks like the 'Splash Wyandotte' is the only pullet with that full set of tail feathers. But every breed feathers differently, and the little chocolate orp is taking its sweet time.

All look like pullets so far except the mutt cockerel.

Cockerel

@sassysarah123 would you help me figure out if i have pullets or cockerels? 10 weeks old. One is a Barred Rock and the other one is a silver laced Wyandotte. I hope for pullets. I can't have roos. Thanks!

Pullets

Hey...
So I believe this cuckoo maran is a roo even though it was supposed to be a hen? He/she is 16 weeks.

The second is a red/blue laced wyandotte who is about 14 or 15 weeks. I'm also afraid she's a roo?

And lastly...is my speckled sussex also 16 weeksView attachment 1049268 View attachment 1049272 View attachment 1049274 . I think hen?

Thank you in advance for checking out my birds.

TiffenyView attachment 1049268 View attachment 1049272 View attachment 1049274

DEFINITELY all hens (unless one is a really slow developing rooster).

I'm unsure on this one, could you post pics of it's saddle feathers?
