I know this looks silly, but can I feed my chickens dead bees?

I have a beehive, and since we've had some warm days, I've noticed alot of the bees have been drowning and/or freezing to death in standing water- we have 5 gal buckets under our downspouts to harvest rainwater.
So since chickens can eat worms, and I've seen them catch moths and other bugs, can I give them the dead bees?

I would put some out and if they eat um, feed um.

This was posted in the Walter T. Kelley newsletter - Kelley Bee News Modern Beekeeping - this month:

Apitherapy: Apilarnil
Apilarnil is an acronym:
• Api – bee
• lar for larvae
• n for Nicolae, the first name of the man who discovered Apilarnil, and
• il the two initials for the discoverer’s last name, Iliesiu.

About 30 years ago in Romania, Nicolae discovered when he fed his chickens and ducks dead bees, the weak ones not only got stronger, but the birds grew faster than normal.

I dunno - but it certainly wouldn't hurt them. I notice that any errant bee that makes it inside the coop only lasts a few miliseconds! My chickens are FAST!
