I cannot believe I didn't get any sooner! And I wish I had more!!! My 5 GSL pullets just started laying last week. One of them has laid a double yolker every day!! Her eggs are HUGE! I mean HUGE! And she's just a pullet!! My only complaint is I wish they laid a darker egg.

Here is her egg (the lighter egg on the right) next to my 1 1/2 year old RIR's egg (who WAS my biggest egg-layer)

I agree! Much as I love all the various breeds I have, my GSL is the winner, hands down, for eggs. She laid several months straight without missing a day. The one she laid yesterday (I posted about it here) was over 3 1/2 ounces. I don't know how she does it! Oh, and she is a sweet girl too!
Her eggs are also quite dark.
