Starting a new coop this summer since the original one has decided that it is done and over with. We have pretty much decided to get this shed from Lowe's

We are going to add on a fixed run with a roof and a gutter system on both the run and coop. I want to keep the food inside the coop on a gravity feeder, and have an easily accessible nesting box. Not to mention ease of cleaning!!!!

My husband wants to do a two story type deal so we can keep birdie supplies in the coop under part of the 2nd level. I just cannot figure out a good way to do this and to compromise.

Any ideas you all can give me I would greatly appreciate!

Ok...here are my thoughts.....

1. What is your climate...I see you are from Washington, but it is a kinda big state, and I am not that familiar with it. So.... Super hot? Super cold? Lots of humidity? Lots of snow?

2. How many birds do you want in there? Makes a big difference on suggestions.

3. Do POOP TRAYS WITH SWEET PDZ! (There is a thread about it, read it to answer any questions you have about it)

4. If you set it up so that you walk in, with a poop tray BOTH left and right, under one poop tray could be the feeder and the nesting boxes. My computer let me see the shed picture, but not the size of it. If there isn't room for the nest boxes next to the feeder, put a two layer community nest, on the outside, that is accessed from the inside under the poop tray.

5. Under the other poop tray could be the storage area, access from the inside or from both inside and outside.
