FYI - in case people didn't know usb cables have 4 different tiny colored wires in them, that are wrapped in woven wire for a ground, very fancy stuff in there

Yes, but those adapters only supply so much output (should be on the adapter itself). And the turner needs a certain amount to work, so you gotta see if your adapter is supplying enough power to actually make it work.
