Oh thank you! You must think ,e a real moron for starting this thread, but I am new to BYC and am still figuring things out. The chart will be very helpful
That egg is AMAZING! Maybe if you crossed a welsummer hen that lays eggs with dark flecks with prehaps an ameraucana, you could partly achieve it?
Have you tried breeding her with different roos? You very well might be able to retain some if not most of the color by breeding a lighter brown, blue/green or olive egger roo to her then breeding back any of her roo offspring to her... Might take a few generations but you should be able to achieve something similar...
