and boo on the air cells. when will you candle the guins?
I'll probably candle them Sunday. That will be a week. They are hard to see into with their really thick shells.

@prizepete Good luck at the show!!!!! We want to hear all about it!

OH I wish this site allowed me to post pics/videos from my iPad!!! Grrrrrr:he

Hatching update...:) 16 out and dry. 14 more to go. No pips in the last hour.

@Saris - I'm catching up, so forgive if this has already been answered, but you were asking about the direction of turning for saddled cells, with regard to the dip. I asked the same thing (had a hard time getting folks to understand what I was asking). It's not in Hathcing 101 or any of Sally's info that I could see - got an answer from @LocalYokel . He even posted a picture for me.

Think of the saddle as an air sac that is beginning to roll (on the long ends), but still attached on the shorter/dipped ends. If you turn parallel to the long ends (i.e., in the direction of the long parts of the saddle), you would encourage it to roll more. If you turn them the other way, you are reducing the chance of them getting worse. That's how I understood it.

So, you turn toward and way from the dips. It's much easier to understand with the picture - I'm looking for his post now.

Edit: @Sally Sunshine - do you want to comment? Could this be added to the shipped eggs info if it is the right thing to do? (I hope it is, this is what I did with my eggs!!!). See also my post below with the links to LocalYokel's post and picture.

Awesome Thanks, exactly what I wanted to know! I was thinking of doing it that way if I didn't get an answer.
Now,nine external pips.but no progress
They hatch in waves. I bet if you slept there would be more hatched when you woke up.

I was going to pull clears and quitters tomorrow but decided to go ahead today. Today is day 9. I had 12 infertiles and 1 quitter. There's 4 I'm not too sure about but I'll check those again around day 16
that leaves 33 or something?

One more time for the cooler bator links? I found one out behind a building, which means it will never be missed... But working from memory and pricing components it isn't going to be cheap.
