Less popular.I am surprised at how many places look at you blankly when you ask about an all flock. They have starter, grower, meat, and egg, but not all flock.

I may be different because we have so many persistent predators. I would rather have chickens in a tree all winter if there was no predator threat. Chickens can survive a night in a tree in winter but not a raccoon or owl attack at night.I am planning on getting them to bed earlier and used to staying in at night soon. Once it gets cold, I will worry about them too much.
@MotorcycleChick missed you!
I felt the same way. He came when he was 7 and his family was given asylum. No gratitude.I just read abaout the terrorists that planted the bombs in NY and NJ, and I cant understand how a human being that have got an opportunity to leave a horrible country like Afghanistan and have a chance to live a decent and fulfilling life, return by planting bombs to kill innocent people, it is beyond my comprehension!
I'm usually too slow.To slow! CC already wrote it!
30@ChickenCanoe Happy Anniversary!!!
How many years?
Yea Nutrena sells it as well, problem is finding a place that carries it.
Thanks. She's excited, they are letting her show whatever chicken she feels like, since she's a clover. Once she graduates from that, she has to use a meat production bird and they'll let her auction it off.@kajira I hope the meeting goes well. Another one of our regulars had to get her daughter in 4h this year to keep their chickens do to new ordinances. Maybe you can encourage each other.
I hope it goes well.

Only in the female of the species
I posted on the hatchalong thread... but I am down half my silkie eggs now. 2 are infertile. 2 had blood rings, and I think one more might have the start of a blood ring. However, it COULD just be veins, so i'll give it a couple more days before I remove it to make sure. I'm giving the "infertile" eggs a couple more days, just to be sure, too.
So, 3/8 eggs are developing appropriately. I'm hoping they make it to lock down and all 3 hatch. I'm gonna be kinda bummed if they all die and I have to start over.

Don't worry about the fancy gift if you find that special way to let her know you care that is worth its weight in gold.I may be different because we have so many persistent predators. I usually only get on every 8 to 12 hours - or longer between visits.

I don't have the money to do the duration justice but we are going skiing in February and we all need to save for that trip.
Ask the store to carry it or you'll take your business elsewhere.
