What do you mean by calibrate?
You set up the incubator a week prior to setting the eggs. Adjust and check the fluctuations of the incubator, making adjustments to temp/humidity. Ambient temp affects temp/humidity.

Since you have the eggs already setting, give it a few days to "adjust", IF you need a higher humidity = add water but you want the lower humidity at the beginning and higher at lock down. Candling at 7 days, 14 days will let you know if humidity is ok or not. You can search in the forum as to what you're looking for when candling ...

Thank you very much! When should the temperature and humidity be caught up and correct? After how long? And how often do I need to add water?

I have the same incubator and having the same issue. It seemed fine until the first day I removed the lid to cool/mist my duck eggs, and it hasnt been correct since.

I did not calibrate it before use (rookie mistake, it seems) but got a secondary hygrometer/therm with probes as a back up for now.

So how often do I need to fill water plates in the bottom? And how did you keep it at the right temp and humidity?
