Interior Coop Pics

I am loving all these awesome ideas. I have spent my Saturday morning binging on all the BYC videos and this thread. Now to move to the country and get me some chickens. It is all I can think about. Thank you all for sharing your wonderful ideas and pictures.

I just finished eating two perfectly soft boiled eggs from my girls. Ummm-mmmm. They’re happy hens, raised on pasture, and my front garden :(, and supplemented with the best organic feed, so the yoilks are bright Orange. So tasty, and extra healthy, too!

Good luck. But, be sure to leave the city behind! :)

These interiors are nicer than my house

My walls are still white. We spend most of our time outside. Lately it has been "Aquarium Weather" looking outside through glass inside

WOW that is quite a wonderful variety you have! Do all of the breeds you chose intermingle well?

This is the inside of the coop I built a few years ago. I've since learned that the litter boxes under the perches are hard to clean. The front lip should have been on a hinge. Also, the hens don't tend to roost there anyway. They like the rafters.
what do you mean front on a hinge? Is that a watering system in the back?

I got my Cackle shipping email just now!!! First chickens--can you tell?

Our coop is built and all set up, but I have hooks, cable, and netting yet to install as a cover, and some chicken wire to separate the grow out pen. Two pop doors, one for the main, and one for the pen. Poop decks w/ their sand/PDZ mix, and 360 ft of run. Should be good...shouldn't it? I ordered 15 chicks and will likely get a few extras.

Here's the little enclosure for their first few days in the house---then off to their coop!

Got a little crazy with fingerpainting in the coop. Maybe they won't mind.

Also: I made a sign for the nest box area--not that they'll read it.

WOW!!! Gorgeous coop! Can I ask you 2 questions? 1. What did you put down under the coop? Looks like crushed rock? What is that for, drainage? I'm thinking of doing a shed conversion and wanting to try to figure out what to set it on and also for the run. Question 2....How did the water thing (it's heated, right) hold up for the winter??
