I have had this hen (18 mo.) since September. She finally started to lay again last week. Although the pictures show white specs on her back (that's just sand) she is solid black that tend toward green in the sunlight. She has gray legs and the bottoms of her feet are grayish as well. She is laying torpedo shaped speckled eggs, I was told that she was laying white eggs- I got lucky, her's are very cool.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Interesting.... I was about to say yes, she's an Australorp, but then you said the bottoms of her feet are grayish.... Australorps have pinkish feet. Is there any hint of pink or possibly yellow?

Her eggs are brown with dark speckles.
The bottoms of her feet tend more toward pinkish rather than yellowish.

Anyone else???

She looks like my BA, but mine has slightly darker feet. Check between her toes, close to the feet, for pink skin. Sometimes it's more apparent in my hen than the bottoms of her feet.
Pretty girls!
