I currently have 13 ducklings in my back yard. they have desimated my pond plants lol, they are moving to a larger pond at my teaching farm and garden once the duck pond is installed. I was wanting to have pond plants in the duck pond but after seeing what they did to my pond I am not gonna spend the money on the plants. They seem to leave the water iris and horse tail alone but its only been 4 days. any suggestions

My ducks generally leave taller, woody plants alone. Well establish cattail, buttonbush that kind of thing should be okay. Mature Joe Pye weed might be okay. You could consider fencing a portion of the pond so they cannot access it.

I had success with cat tails as well as some established duck weed. However, you must be careful because duck weed can easily become invasive

I was wonding about cat tail. looks like im gonna go dig on the side of the road with waiders on lol
