Hi there,
I recently brought home a mother hen and her chicks from auction, which are supposed to be Belgium d'uccles. I already own a couple of duccles, but mine are smaller in stature and appear to have slight differences to the new mother. The mother has minimal feathers on her feet, is much rounder and stockier in size, I'll attach photos. The babies are assorted colours and have very feathered feet so far, but I'm just wondering if it's possible the mother may be a mix perhaps. Either way she's beautiful though thanks in advance for any input!
Ps. A couple of the chicks are obvious roos, is it too early to post pictures of the rest to gauge gender? I have no idea how many weeks old but my guess was about 3 weeks?
