Hey everyone. This morning I walked out to my aviary and noticed my ring teal drake flapping his wings but it seems like he can’t? He gives about half a pump and then folds them back in. He has his right wing clipped but it almost as if he is in pain doing so. Does anyone know why my ring teal is doing this? I don’t know if he is in pain or if this is normal any help would be appreciated.

Yes I have a pintail Drake in there as well.
Not sure if they fight in the same way as muscovy do, which is what I'm most familiar with. Muscovy will bite each other's wings during a fight. Perhaps yours got into it a bit.

Another thought is the flapping of wings is also done more vigorously by dominant birds, so maybe yours is submissive to the other drake so he doesn't flap as much.

As long as he isn't dragging a wing, and he's acting normal otherwise I wouldn't worry too much.
