Is this part of the umbilical cod?

I got 8 chicks last Thursday. I have 2 Polish in the bunch. One of them had pasty butt yesterday which we cleaned up but I noticed last night it looks like something sticking out of it’s rear. It is eating and drinking and active but stops and picks at it’s butt every once in a while. What should I do if anything? They were day old chicks when I got them. They are on Chick Starter feed and plain water.

So I just let it be? Is it part of the umbilical cord? None of the chicks are picking on it at least.
